Mi trovo d’accordo con quanto scrive Vulture a proposito della bella serie di Netflix, Unbelievable. Cito abbondantemente: “The mystery element is secondary and beside the point. Unbelievable is not about finding the bad guy so much as it about the value of genuinely hearing and understanding the victims. And it’s not so much about justice being served as it is about the possibility that, with the right people listening and fighting for her, a young, abused woman might have the chance to find some measure of peace”.

Più in generale, Unbelievable sembrerebbe dare ragione a chi pensa che a parlare di donne stuprate sarebbe intelligente, serio e adeguato che fossero donne: autrici, registe, e attrici. Quando poi gli elementi narrativi ed estetici sono così precisi e potenti, anche rispettando l’area del genere crime, delle sue procedure e dei suoi codici (negare i quali sarebbe semplicemente sciocco), la riuscita è assicurata.
